Summary This is what skin cancer treatment can look like, she captioned in the powerful message

(Web Desk) – It is assumed that many lives were saved by a woman with skin cancer who wrote powerful message on Facebook while attaching her photograph with skin cancer.

Tawny Dzierzek’s selfie is credited to saving several lives as people took inspiration from her. After the particular Facebook post, the Google searches for the keywords ‘skin’ and ‘cancer’ skyrocketed to 162 percent.

According to rough estimates, the term ‘skin cancer’ was searched 230,000 times after Dzierzek’s post. The Kentucky girl had shared the photograph back in 2015.

She mentioned a powerful message with the post which read, “If anyone needs a little motivation to not lay in the tanning bed and sun here ya go! This is what skin cancer treatment can look like. Wear sunscreen and get a spray tan. Learn from other people s mistakes. Don t let tanning prevent you from seeing your children grow up. That s my biggest fear now that I have a two year old little boy of my own."

Dzierzek admitted that she used to lie up to 4 times a week in tanning bed exposed to sun. She had her first diagnosis of skin cancer at 21 and got the treatment when she turned 27.

“I go to the dermatologist every 6-12 months,” she told, advising that the sooner one finds it, the less likely it will leave a disfiguring scar or grow deep enough to metastasize. She concluded her long post by saying, “This intention of the post is to help people. Please do not belittle me or my message to justify your own actions.”

Her long treatment of the skin included Aldara, Curettage and Electrodessication, Cryosurgery, Surgical Excision and Photodynamic Therapy.

After over a thousand shares, her selfie was reported for containing graphic content.
