Argentinean girl sets Guinness record for longest hair on teenager
Abril Lorenzatti from Argentina has 1.52-metres-long hair and didn't cut it for the last 11 years
(Web Desk) – An Argentinean girl has set the Guinness world record for the longest hair on teenager with her 1.52-metres-long hair.
Abril Lorenzatti lives in Villa Carlos Paz of Cordoba where she hasn’t had a haircut for the past 11 years. She showed great passion and patience for her 4 feet 11.84 inch-hair.
"It (hair) was very short, so I decided to let it grow and not cut it again - not until it is very necessary or I really want to make a change,” she said, telling that she is often called Rapunzel . Abril only cuts the ends of her hair to maintain the hairstyle.
The 17-year-old teenager once had a bad experience of getting haircut when she was younger. She was also inspired from the movie Matilda. Abril wanted her hair to be long just like of the young star in the movie.
Her simple routine to maintain the long hair include washing it every other day with regular shampoo and conditioner bought from the store. She learned the tricks to maintain the hair from her mother who taught her detangling the ends.
According to her, she only faces issues while trying to climb the stairs and walking in windy weather conditions. She reacted to setting the world record saying, “This experience has left me with a beautiful memory and the satisfaction of being part of Guinness World Records. I am extremely grateful for this great honour."
