While he was giving his concluding statements about the case, he himself the smoke and fire coming out of his pants which made him run out of the courtroom and save his life.

The irony of the matter is that his client was accused of setting his car on fire intentionally. The lawyer was defending him by claiming that the car caught fire itself spontaneously. At that moment, his own pants caught fire.

The lawyer told that his pants had been feeling hot while he was giving arguments in the courtroom but suddenly, fumes started coming out which made him terrified.

He admitted afterward that the fire was ignited by e-cigarette batteries. The court also concluded that the incident wasn’t staged as such incident is very unlikely to happen.

However, the funny thing is that the incident didn’t help his client to win the case as he was convicted of the actual charges of second-degree arson.
