People defy their fear to take selfies with snakes.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A wave of panic and fear suddenly grips people whenever they spot a snake, but the Snake House in Rawalpindi‘s Ayub Park helps people overcome their ophidiophobia.

Different kinds of snakes including cobra, water snakes and pythons could be seen crawling freely in the specific area.

“Don’t be afraid of these snakes. Most of the snakes are not venomous. These are also God’s creation and are harmless, but people are not aware of it,” Jahangir, a caretaker said.

Locals in large number including women and children visit the spot to have a look at these reptiles and some even get a chance to snap selfies with them.

A researcher said, usually snakes conjure up images of danger and fear, but this impression should be dispelled and we should encourage the acceptance of snakes as part of the ecology.
