HARIDWAR (Web Desk) – An ascetic in Indian city of Haridwar grabbed attention of a large number of people when he was spotted wearing 15kg gold worth INR 30 million.

The man termed as ‘Golden Baba’ came at the River Ganga alongwith his followers to take a holy dip.

In what comes as a shock, he never takes off his gold and keeps wearing it throughout the day.

According to Times of India, when he was asked about his fascination for gold, the baba s disciples were quick to point out that "just like gold is a precious and rare commodity, so is our guru which is why he is adorned with golden ornaments which befit his personality."

He has also kept security guards to protect his gold and has ordered a four and a half kg gold jacket.

The real name of the Golden Baba is Sudhir Kumar Makkad and was in the garments business in Delhi before he became an ascetic.
