BELFAIR (Web Desk) - A driver and his dog were left covered in gallons of paint after he lost control of his vehicle resulting in a messy and colourful accident.
The driver was travelling with five-gallon buckets of latex paint in a variety of colours on Tuesday along a highway near Belfair, Washington state, when he crashed.
The paint went everywhere, coating the man and his black dog, as well as the interior of his SUV. The man who was not identified suffered minor injuries and taken to a nearby hospital.
Russ Winger, a Washington State Patrol Trooper, said he and an off-duty firefighter who happened to be near the accident found a nearby resident who let them wash the dog and turn it back to its proper colour.
It is now being temporarily cared for by the local humane society, where the owner can pick it up after recovering.
There was no word whether anyone had attempted to clear up the inside of the car.
