'Looking to cooperate with competent authorities in Pakistan', PUBG issues statement on PTA ban
(Web Desk) – PUBG Mobile has issued a statement on the ongoing ban imposed by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on the game in Pakistan, saying that they are willing to cooperate any way they can to find a solution of the issue.
The statement said that PUBG is working on the situation and looking to cooperate with relevant authorities to find a solution to bring the game back. It assured that PUBG is committed to providing a balanced game environment and it respects local customs, laws, and regulations while striving to deliver the best possible gaming experience to its players.
The statement also thanked it fans in Pakistan for their patience and support, saying that it is a privilege to have such a passionate community of fans.
Previously, a PTA spokesperson said that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) did not order PTA to lift ban on PUBG but directed to issue details of the July 1 ban order.
PTA said the order had been issued in accordance with Islamabad High Court’s verdict after a hearing conducted by PTA on July 9th and in accordance with the provisions of PECA 2016.
Moreover, PTA provided an opportunity of hearing to concerned parties including PUBG’s lawyers but as per the order of the Authority, the PUBG game would remain blocked in Pakistan.
The statement said that the PTA had also approached PUBG management to inform about a suitable framework to address key concerns but no response had been received from PUBG so far.
