WhatsApp introduces Picture-in-Picture feature for web
The WhatsApp picture-in-picture (PIP) feature lets users watch shared videos in the chat
(Web Desk) – WhatsApp has been adding back-to-back new features to its platform in order to improve the overall user experience. Now, after introducing the picture-in-picture (PIP) feature for both iOS and Android users, the feature is now been launched for WhatsApp Web as well.
For the unknown, the WhatsApp picture-in-picture (PIP) feature lets users watch shared videos in the chat itself while also giving them the option to continue the chat.
The feature has been enabled with version 0.3.1846 of the web client. The feature doesn’t require any updates and will show up on its own when a user logs in to the web client of the app. WhatsApp Web currently plays only shared videos in the PiP mode with support for Facebook, YouTube and Instagram videos coming soon.
