Facebook launches 'Lists' to personalise status update box
Reports suggested that Facebook will also add News section in Watch feature
(Web Desk) – Facebook launched a new update called Lists by which users can personalise the status box as it gives several options like bullet points, additional colours and designs.
It is the first major update for the status option after the social networking site had launched coloured backgrounds.
Facebook has been encouraging users to share their personal content. By using Lists, people can make to-do-lists and arrange their status posts like in email. To Do’s, New Year’s Resolutions, top restaurants to try or places to go, and more can be added using the option.

Coloured backgrounds, bullet points and designs can be added in the content with emoticons to make it exciting. It was told that friends will be able to copy each other’s lists and share their own opinions for the matter.
Facebook Lists will appear in “What’s on your mind?” and popup in status update box a alongside Feeling/Activity, Polls, Photo/Video, Check In, GIF, and other options.
Critics have opined that Facebook is trying to engage more young people after the recent reports claiming that more youth is likely to switch to Instagram or Snapchat in future.
Earlier, it was reported that news section will be added in Facebook Watch feature, a video content platform.
