Summary A rumour claimed that the tech giant is testing the feature after its current coloured statuses

(Web Desk) – Facebook has decided to roll out comments with coloured backgrounds after the famous coloured statuses feature, according to a report on Mashable.

Described as awful and ugly, it is believed that the tech-giant is currently testing the feature and will launch it soon for smartphone apps only. It will allow users to apply colour in the background of their comments, as in statuses.

The update is not available at the moment and is expected to be launched in the coming weeks. Just like coloured statuses have now become fashionable, comments with coloured backgrounds are also expected to gain positive response.

In the last decade, popular but now extinct social networking site Myspace used to have a similar feature which allowed users to give coloured comments. However, Facebook reformed the feature and added sleek gradients as well as attractive designs to facilitate their mobile users. The feature of status with coloured background is currently available for mobile app only, both Android and iOS.
