LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – A report on health suggests that after the stroke of paralysis, a human mind loses over 1.9 million nerves. It results in making the brain 3.5 years older if proper treatment is not given within an hour.
Everything depends on the duration of treatment just after stroke. The prolonged delay causes problems in speaking, memory loss and a certain change in behavior.
If paralysis is identified early, treatment becomes effective and can be achieved in a short time frame without any damage to the brain.
There are two kinds of paralysis. One is caused by blockage in veins which results in lack of blood inside the brain. The second kind happens when there is a leakage of blood in brain by any artery.
Both the kinds have similar symptoms. Health experts suggest that the following symptoms can be felt one week before the paralysis stroke occurs:
1. Body parts like arms or legs falling numb, unable to walk
2. Unable to speak or understand
3. Change in face shape, mind irritation
4. Vomit and migraine
5. Difficulty in walking
6. Difficulty in swallowing anything
7. Unable to maintain bodily balance
8. Stagger in movement
9. Severe weakness
10. Unable to smile or show cheek movement
