LAHORE (Dunya News) - Quetta Gladiators posted a competitive total of 174 for 8 against Hyderabad Kingsmen in the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

After winning the toss, Quetta opted to bat first and managed to score 174 runs in their allotted 20 overs despite losing wickets at regular intervals.

Shamyl Hussain led the scoring with an impressive 54, while Hasan Nawaz contributed 53. England all-rounder Tom Curran added a useful 31 runs to strengthen the total.

However, the rest of the batting line-up struggled to make an impact. Khawaja Nafay scored 6, captain Saud Shakeel managed just 4, while Rilee Rossouw, Ben Dermott and Alzarri Joseph were dismissed without scoring. Abrar Ahmed remained unbeaten on 9, alongside Ahmed Daniyal who finished on 6 not out.

For Hyderabad Kingsmen, Riley Meredith was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets. Maheesh Theekshana and Akif Javed picked up two wickets each to restrict Quetta under 180.

Chasing 175, Kingsmen will need a strong batting performance to secure victory in this PSL encounter.
