Egypt qualifies for the World Cup and the nation just went crazy

It's been a 28-year-long wait for the North African country to make it to the World Cup finals

(Web Desk) – Egypt qualified for the Football World Cup that is going to be held in Russia coming year. The Liverpool star Mohamed Salah scored twice in the all-important match against Congo to take the North African country to the World Cup finals after a long wait of 28 years.

Egypt had last played the World Cup in 1990 last and it was a special performance by the 25-year-old Salah that ensured the team a berth at the FIFA 2018. It was an emotional moment for the football-crazy nation as Salah scored the 90+5 minute penalty. The new national hero was overwhelmed with emotions while readying himself to take the most important penalty kick of his life till date. And he had the ‘nerves of steel’ to hit it right in the right corner and send the goalkeeper the other way.

The celebrations were spectacular.

People were out on the roads to celebrate the historic victory.

Ohh yes, he has.

Must be a moment of reckoning for the 44 year-old goalie who d be waiting for this moment his entire career.
