DARWIN (Daily Dunya) – Australia whitewashed Pakistan in four-test hockey series by beating the tourists 5-3 in last match on Saturday, reported Roznama Dunya.
According to details, Pakistan took lead in fourth minute of the match with the help of Abu Mahmood’s wonderful field goal.
Australia struck back within no seconds and leveled the scores when Kiran Arunasalam succeeded in putting the ball into net on a penalty corner.
In tenth minute of the match, Aussie skipper Mark Knowles gave his team a lead of 2-1 by scoring on penalty stroke.
Muhammad Umar Bhutta leveled the match in 21st minute and Abu Mahmood struck for second time in the match only two minutes later and Pakistan went ahead by 3-2.
Australia’s Trent Mitton registered a field goal in final minute of first half and leveled the scores once again.
The kangaroos remained dominant in second half where Aaron Kleinschmidt and Flynn Ogilvie registered one goal each and gave the hosts a deciding lead of 5-3 to complete the clean sweep.
