Best goal award winner takes ages to find speech on mobile
Mohd Faiz Subri of Malaysia became first ever Asian to win the FIFA Goal of the year award
LAHORE (Web Desk) - There was a funny moment at FIFA awards ceremony in Zurich, when Puskas (Goal of the year) award winner Mohd Faiz Subri took ages to find his speech on the mobile.
Subri became the first Asian player to win the prestigious award, which was presented to him by one of the greatest ever, Ronaldo Lima of Brazil. As English is not his first language, Subri had to see the speech from the mobile.
The Malaysian took some time to find the speech, after he got the award against his expectations. The host also offered to help, before Subri finally found the speech, which started with Assalam-o-Alaikum! Alhumdulillah .
Cristiano Ronaldo got player of the year award in the same ceremony and some of the greatest ever players and managers were sitting in the hall when Subri got the award. Subri defeated goals of Messi and Neymar, which were also nominated in top 10.
