Asian Games squash: Pakistan wins Gold medal, defeats Malaysia

Pakistan has won a gold medal in the event of squash in the on going Asian Games in China by defeating Malaysia in the final, Dunya News reported on Thursday. Gold medal winners in squash were Farhan Mehbub and Aamir Atlas. This is the second gold medal of the country in the Asian Games. On the other hand Pakistan wrestling and cricket teams lostt their respective semi-final matches. Afghanistan defeated Pakistan in the cricket semi-final. Afghanistan set a target of 127 for Pakistan in 20 overs but Pakistan could only manage to score 103 runs. Now the national team would play for bronze medal on Friday. Iranian wrestler defeated Pakistani opponent in the semi-final in the wrestling event of the mega game show. Iranian team won by 17 points to 16 in the semi-final.
