3rd day of Dubai Test: South Africa 139/2 at stumps

Third day of Dubai test brought good new for the South Africans as they were 139 for the loss of just two wickets at stumps, Dunya New reported on Sunday. After the dismissal of the host Pakistan team on just 248 runs, South Africa is now in a commanding position. At the end of third days play at Dubai, South Africa has an overall lead of 271 runs against Pakistan. Peterson made 26 while Smith managed to make 34 runs before getting out. Hashim Amla and Jacques Kallis are still on the crease with 44 and 26 runs respectively. Earlier the Pakistani team resumed their play on the start of third days play with 144/2 but they were soon bowled out at just 248 runs. The whole team stumbled against the disciplined and tidy bowling by South African bowlers. Last eight batsmen could only add 104 runs to the total score. Former Captain Younas Khan made 35 runs while young batsman Azhar Ali made 56 runs. National skipper Misbah-ul-Haq made only 9 runs. Umer Akmal scored 4 and his debutant brother Adnan Akmal scored only 10 runs. Morne Morkel took 5 wickets while Botha took 3 for their side.
