Ever since Lalit Modi has been expelled from the IPL it has been in controversies. After the expulsion of Kings X1 Punjab and Rajhistan Royals, now the Kochi team has also been suspended. BCCI has accused the Kochi team of violating the terms of agreement and has issued notice to the team. President of BCCI Shashank Manohar, in a press conference, said that the Kochi team has been give a time period of 30 days to explain its position. He also said that the situation was different in the case of Rajhistan Royals while the board would not tolerate any violation of agreements. it is to be remembered that the Kochi team was included in the fourth edition of IPL under the chairmanship of Lalit Modi.
