Summary Pakistan's hockey team will also be playing against bitter rivals India on 12th of April.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s national hockey team Saturday departed from Karachi airport for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for participation in the upcoming Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament 2016. The national team is being led by team Captain Muhammad Irfan. Pakistan’s team will also be playing against bitter rivals India on 12th of April.

Speaking at the airport before the departure, team Captain Irfan stated that the team comprises of senior and junior players. He added that an intense contest will be held with each team throughout the tournament.

Irfan added that the team will develop a strategy before going down to the field for match against India. He further added that the nation disappointed by defeats in cricket will be given good news regarding the hockey tournament.

Irfan stated that the team will not face any kind of pressure. He added that the players will put on an a good display of their capabilities during the game. 

Azlan Shah Hockey tournament will be held from 6th to 16th of April in Kuala Lumpur.
