Ferrero beat American John Isner 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 and Almagro eventually got the better of France's Jeremy Chardy 6-2, 6-7, 6-3.There are no Spanish women left in the tournament, after both Carla Surez Navarro and Mara Jos Martnez Snchez lost in the second round.
