31st national games postponed

National games in Peshawar have been postponed due to deteriorating law and order situation in NWFP. Pakistan Olympic Association said that 31st national games will be started soon after the situation gets normal. The 31st national games were scheduled to start on November 15-22 in Qayyum Sports Complex, Peshawar. All the preparations were completed for the games. However, the games have been postponed due to attacks in Peshawar. Provincial Minister for Sports and Culture and President of NWFP Olympic Association Syed Aaqal Shah said that the decision is taken due to deteriorating law and order situation in the province. Talking to Dunya News, Acting Secretary General of Pakistan Olympic Association General said that it is our priority to hold games in Peshawar.
