Summary

West Indies' senior players have ended their strike and made themselves available for international duty following the appointment of an arbitrator to settle their dispute with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). Captain Chris Gayle and other star players could now take part in the one-days against Bangladesh. Captain Gayle, Vice Captain Ram Naresh Sarwan and others refused to play in July over the dispute on contract, salaries and advertisement rights. A new WI team was formed afterwards which lost to Bangladesh in test and one-day home series besides facing defeat in the Champions Trophy. The dispute between the players and the association has been settled now. Gayle, in his joint statement with the board officials announced the players availability. Senior players will be included in the team for the Australian tour next month.
