For the first time in history, Pakistan has qualified to play the Gold World Cup after scoring third position by golfer Muhammad Shabbir and Muhammad Munir in the Asian Qualifying Tournament. Pakistani golfers Shabbir and Munir scored third position in Malaysia in World Cup qualifying round with a score of 274. Singapore scored first while Philippine scored second position. The World Cup will be played this year in November in China. Earlier, Pakistani players have hoisted the green flag across the world by winning squash, snooker, hockey and cricket world cups.
