National Assemblys standing committee on health has taken notice of the unfortunate incident of eye-sight loss of a four year old boy Ashmal Khan, Dunya News reported on Thursday. The chairman of the standing committee Dr. Nadeem Ehsan ordered the secretary health Khushnud Akhter Lashari to probe the incident and produce a report on the matter. The chairman also ordered the secretary health that the Ministry of Health and other governmental institutions should make necessary arrangements for Cornia transplant of Ashmal Khan. The secretary health assured the committee that an investigation report on the matter would be produced before the committee on the incident and complete medical aid would be given to the boy. The Polio control committee briefed the standing committee that 91 polio cases have been reported in the country uptil now.
