ANF foils smuggling bid worth millions

The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a smuggling bid by seizing heroin worth millions from a container that was booked for Indian City-Mumbai. ANF intercepted a container that was booked for Mumbai here in Peshawar on Thursday and during checking recovered heroin worth million that was hidden inside precious stones in the container. ANF sources further informed that approximately 80-bags of precious stones were placed in the container and smuggled heroin was hidden inside the stones, but ANF-personnel by breaking the stones foiled the bid of heroin smuggling to India. ANF carrying immediate action also arrested the Custom's clearing agent and the exporter of the container, who had booked the container for transportation to India.
