Lahore: Low intensity blast in Green Town

A blast of low intensity blast was reported near a police station in Green Town area of Lahore. The sound of the explosion was heard in a two kilometer radius, the low intensity blast created panic but not much harm.According to police sources, the cracker blast happened adjacent to the police station while a second cracker was diffused by the bomb disposal squad. According to the S.P Sadar Rana Mansoor-ul-Haq, the cracker recovered from the site has been sent to the lab for chemical examination.It is prteient to note that two days ago police conducted a search operation and apprehended several fugitives wanted for alleged involvement in crimes at Karachi. Fake identities were also recovered from the suspects.
