Summary Tehrik-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran leader says the government is creating hurdles in the way of long march.
ISLAMABAD: Nazim-e-Aala of Tehrik-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran, Islamabad, Abdul Laeeq Abbasi has said that federal as well as Punjab governments were creating hurdles in the way of long march by using unfair tactics.
He was talking to the Tehrik workers regarding preparations of the long march here on Monday. “It is now very much obvious that government would not accept our demands so the long march would be held at every cost”, he added.
He said the Punjab government is terrifying transporters to prevent the Tahir-ul-Qadri’s long march. He said that regional transport officers in the province are exerting pressure on transporters if they participate in the long march, their route permits would be cancelled.
The leader of Tehrik-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran said so-called politicians have started character assassination of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri after announcing the long march.
”Neither long march would be aimed at postponing elections nor our leadership wants to do so. Lawyers, students, ulema, clerics, and people from every walk of life would participate in the long march in large number.
He said it is the matter of great concern that interior minister of the country is the person, who can only inform the people about terrorists’ attacks but cannot prevent them. He said the administration is threatening that the leadership of the Tehrik would be apprehended by using special branch.
Revealing the details, Abbasi said the long march would be commenced from Lahore on January 13 at 10:00 am under the leadership of Tahir-ul-Qadri, which would reach Islamabad on January14.
