Summary Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf endorsing Supreme Court verdict on Asghar Khan Case termed it as historic.
In a press statement released on Thursday, the PTI hoped that the apex court judgment would end the role of agencies in maneuvering election results.The statement said that the ruling was a landmark decision, through which the Supreme Court has exposed the ugly face of politicians.It added that, in light of the judgment, the PML (N) leadership should be made either to quit politics or be banned for life time by the Election Commission.‘The verdict of the apex court has exposed the real face of Nawaz Sharif, betraying the people’s mandate for money.’ It added.The PTI has claimed that Nawaz Sharif has deceived the people of Pakistan by minting money. Added that Sharif’s should give up their party positions, to face legal proceedings, as those accused should not hold positions of power, that can be used to manipulate the outcome of the investigations, the statement added.Moreover, PTI has hoped that the apex court decision would bring an end the political role of the secret agency, and demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan.To impose ban on all the politicians for participating in political activities, who were alleged to have received money from the military top brass to influence electoral results.
