Karachi: fire erupts in Khadda Market, two children killed

Two children were burnt alive as fire erupted in slums near Al-Asif Square area of Karachi. The fire erupted in slums of Abdullah Balaari Goth, adjacent to Khadda Market at Super Highway, and engulfed twelve surrounding slums instantly. By the time the fire brigade overcame the fire, Badal (2) and Haseena (3) had been burnt alive. According to police officials, no causes of fire could be identified. The plot owner Ishaq Balaari said that people living in these slums had been here for the last 2.5 years. The police launched investigation into the incident after recording the statements of the eyewitnesses.
