Parvez Elahi granted bail in illegal recruitment case

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Parvez Elahi, a former chief minister of Punjab, has obtained bail in the illegal recruitment case.
A Lahore court heard the case pertaining to alleged illegal recruitment of principal secretary by Parvez Elahi and accepted his bail plea after considering arguments presented by the lawyers.
Parvez Elahi's counsel contended that the notification of the appointment of the principal secretary was issued before he assumed the position of chief minister. Additionally, the judicial magistrate discharged Muhammad Khan Bhatti from the case.
After deliberations and arguments from the parties, the court granted bail to Parvez Elahi and directed him to submit surety bond amounting to Rs100,000.
