PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said the party had made no specific preparations for the long march and that changing its date had weakened the party.
Talking informally to journalists, Gandapur said pressure on the federal government would increase and it would accept the demands, adding that negotiating with the government was the responsibility of the decision-makers.
The former chief minister said ministers, lawmakers and workers were being picked up in the province because the chief minister's writ was not being enforced.
Gandapur said he could become chief minister again if directed by PTI founder Imran Khan, adding that he had stepped down as chief minister on the founder's instructions.
He said that despite obstacles and resistance, he had managed to reach Islamabad three times during protests.
Gandapur said he had spoken with Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in a cordial atmosphere, adding that they belonged to the same party and were Pashtuns who valued a guest visiting their home.
