Summary Turkish President Erdogan and PM Shehbaz are in Saudi Arabia for high-level talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on bilateral ties, regional issues, trade and investment.
RIYADH (Dunya News) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to arrive in Saudi Arabia on Friday for a one-day official visit.
During the visit, President Erdogan is expected to meet Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, as well as Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to Burhanettin Duran, head of the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, the meetings will focus on issues of mutual interest, regional developments, and bilateral relations.
No further details regarding the agenda of the meetings or any expected decisions were immediately released.
A day earlier, PM Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia with a high-level delegation, where he was received by Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to hold an important meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
According to sources, the two leaders are expected to hold detailed discussions on Pakistan-Saudi Arabia bilateral relations, investment, regional developments and various aspects of mutual cooperation.
The meeting is also expected to focus on expanding trade, economic collaboration and investment, further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, and exploring new avenues of cooperation across multiple sectors.
The high-level engagement is being viewed as an important step towards deepening the longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and advancing shared strategic and economic interests.
