Summary Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz says Punjab Safe Cities Authority has earned international awards for technology-driven policing and digital governance initiatives.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has achieved another major international milestone with global recognition for its technology-driven policing initiatives.
In a post on social media platform X, the chief minister said the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in the United States has selected the PSCA for the 2026 Leadership in the Prevention of Vehicle Crimes Award in recognition of its global leadership in using technology to combat vehicle-related crime.

She also said the PSCA's "Mera Pyara" project, a virtual child protection center, was named a Champion Project in the e-governance category at the WSIS Awards 2026.
According to Maryam Nawaz, two PSCA initiatives—the Virtual Women Police Station and the Virtual Center for Child Safety—have also been included among the world's top 20 e-governance projects.
The chief minister said the international honors reflect the Punjab government's vision of smart, technology-based policing and digital public services.
She congratulated the entire Punjab Safe Cities Authority team and praised the leadership of Inspector General of Police and PSCA Director General Ahsan Younas for the achievement.
