600 militants killed in Lower Dir, says Colonel Amir

Some 600 militants have been killed in the ongoing operation of Medan Lower Dir during last three months, Operation Commander (OC) Colonel Amir has said. Talking to the reporters in Lower Dir he said, about 80 percent area of Medan had been cleared of miscreants. Security forces have recovered ammunition and arms in a bulk. OC said that the return of IDPs had begun to the area, adding that the security forces would capture the control of entire area soon.
