PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The summary regarding the expansion of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet has been approved by the governor.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi approved the cabinet expansion, and the newly inducted members will take oath on Sunday (today) at 11am.

Preparations for the oath-taking ceremony have begun at the Governor House Peshawar.

The expanded cabinet will include six ministers, four advisers, and eight special assistants.

Earlier, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had prepared an 18-member summary for the expansion of the provincial cabinet.

The proposed list included six provincial ministers, four advisers, and eight special assistants.

Political circles are viewing the development as an effort by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to make the government team more active and balanced.

According to sources, the proposed list of provincial ministers includes Nazir Ahmed Abbasi, Shakeel Ahmed, Muhammad Adnan Qadri, Muhammad Arif, Tariq Mahmood Aryani, and Shafiullah Jan.

Shafiullah Jan had previously been serving as Special Assistant for Information and has now been selected for a full ministerial position.

Similarly, the names proposed for advisers to the chief minister include Pir Musawir Khan, Liaqat Ali Khan, Humayun Khan, and Mian Muhammad Umar.

The proposed special assistants include Tariq Saeed, Muhammad Usman, Tufail Anjum, Iftikharullah Jan, Samiullah Khan, Malik Adeel Iqbal, Muhammad Khurshid, and Muhammad Israr.

The inclusion of these new names in the cabinet is also being seen as significant in terms of representation for different regions and groups within the party.
