Dar, UK secretary discuss evolving regional situation

Summary Deputy PM Ishaq Dar met UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper in Turkiye, discussing regional developments and Pakistan’s role in US-Iran ceasefire, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkiye.

“We exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and recent developments. I appreciate her kind acknowledgment and support of Pakistan’s role in facilitating the initial US-Iran ceasefire, hosting the Islamabad talks, and our continued efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability,” Dar wrote on social media platform X.

“Look forward to remaining closely engaged on further strengthening Pakistan-UK relations,” he added.
