Summary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government amended civil servant rules, banning marriages with foreign nationals while allowing exceptions under federal approval.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has amended the civil servant rules, imposing a restriction on government employees from marrying foreign nationals.

According to a formal notification issued by the provincial Establishment Department, changes have been made in the Civil Servants Rules under which government employees will no longer be allowed to marry foreign citizens.

The notification stated that all civil servants will be bound to comply with the new regulations following their enforcement.

However, it added that exceptions may apply in cases where the foreign national is recognized or approved by the federal government, allowing such marriages under prescribed conditions.
