Islamabad on high alert as authorities cancel senior police officers’ leave, order immediate reporting to duty, tighten security amid emergency measures in federal capital.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal capital has been placed on high alert, with authorities cancelling the leaves of senior police officers amid heightened security concerns.
According to officials, all supervisory officers of the Islamabad Police have been directed to report to duty immediately. All forms of leave have been suspended until further orders.
Police authorities stated that even previously approved leaves have been revoked with immediate effect. Strict administrative measures are being implemented in view of the emergency situation.
Leave will only be granted in unavoidable emergency cases with proper authorization. All concerned officers have been instructed to report to their respective units without delay.
Officials added that close monitoring of the security situation in the federal capital is ongoing.
