SADIQABAD (Dunya News) – In an apparent reference to the PTI founder Imran Khan, President Asif Ali Zardari has said so-called leaders cannot withstand jail pressure and start complaining about eye pain and unavailability of milk in prison.

PPP Co-chairman President Asif Ali Zardari has said those who brag and boast cannot give sacrifice.

Apparently referring to the PTI founder without mentioning his name, the PPP chairman said a leader who has just spent a year and a half in jail says, "My eye hurts. There is no milk in the jail.”

His boasts are just for show and talk. He cannot sacrifice. He doesn't have courage. He can only talk, the PPP leader said.

Speaking at a gathering in Sadiqabad, Asif Ali Zardari said the job of a leader is to fight and go to jail, to save the party and keep the people safe.

“Today, leaders are like this. They have not been in jail for a year and a half and have started crying,” he added.

The President said that people are only with the PPP, claiming, “I had said in Hamid Mir's programme that prison asks about the situation after two years. I have also spent 14 years in prison, I have suffered but I have not lost courage.”

“Worship should be done in prisons, worship is done in prisons, prayers of those who worship in prison are accepted, therefore, no political worker was arrested, lest he should curse.

“I promise you that I will leave after building and improving Pakistan, I will not leave before that, the PPP will one day win with a two-thirds majority and Bilawal will be made the Prime Minister, the country is made of the people, it is made by the people,” Asif Ali Zardari said.
