PDMA issues weather alert for rain and snowfall in KP, urging districts to take precautions as weak structures, roads and drainage systems may face risks during December 4–5 spell.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Authorities have issued a weather alert as rain is forecast across the country, with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) warning of possible emergency conditions.
According to the alert, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to receive rainfall today and tomorrow, while from December 4 to 5, various districts may experience intermittent rain and snowfall in upper regions.
The PDMA has directed district administrations to ensure precautionary measures, noting that rain and snowfall are expected in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Mansehra and Abbottabad.
Rain is also likely in Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Khyber, Kurram, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan, with the possibility of slippery roads in mountainous areas.
The alert warns that rainfall could damage weak structures, electric poles, billboards and solar panels. District administrations have been instructed to clear drainage systems and keep the public and tourists informed in a timely manner.
