Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said nobody will be allowed to violate human rights. The judiciary will act against any such violation throughout the country, he added. He said parliament legislates and the judiciary interprets the laws. Addressing the lawyers at Civil Court in Sehwan Sharif, he said the most important principle of Islam is justice. All the judges are busy with providing justice and they will keep on doing so without being daunted, he maintained. The CJ said the apex court can take notice of the violations of human rights, which have been given legal protection by the constitution. It is the history of country that the judiciary has never been allowed to function independently; however, every institution has separate jurisdiction under constitution. The CJ Chaudhry Iftikhar said the courts are facing the shortage of infrastructure and manpower; however, the government is cooperating on the issue. A system of justice cannot be established without district judiciary, he said.
