CM Maryam visits flood-hit areas, assures victims of full support

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Friday visited various flood-affected areas, where she expressed compassion for children at relief camps and joined them at the dining table for a meal.
During her visit to Wazirabad, she met with flood victims, shook hands with affected women, and embraced them in a show of solidarity.
She assured the victims that the Punjab government would provide them with full support and all possible assistance in this difficult time.
The CM also toured the Talawana neighborhood in Sohdra, where she assessed the flood situation and the damage caused in the area while stating that the local administration and departments are fully active and committed to alleviating the suffering of the people.
On the other hand, following the directives of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, drones are being used in Sahiwal and other surrounding areas to locate stranded victims.
The use of drones has enabled the successful rescue of several individuals trapped in dangerously high floodwaters in Sahiwal.
