ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has decided to resign from his party post.

Taking to social media platform X, the PTI leader announced the decision.

He wrote, “Today, an incident has occurred that compels me to make a clear decision. My life is an open book. None of my actions are in conflict with any principle. I cannot accept any compromise on intellectual or financial integrity. Tomorrow, I will request Khan Sahib to relieve me from my position. However, my legal services will remain available without any compensation.”

Salman Akram Raja said that last Tuesday, he had conveyed a message to the PTI founder through Ali Bukhari, but the founder did not accept his request.

He stated that tomorrow he would request Khan Sahib to relieve him of his position, though his legal services would remain available without any fee.

The PTI Secretary General said that he is not a traditional politician, neither a feudal lord nor a mill owner; however, his small family stands firmly with him.

He added that they endured all kinds of harsh attacks from within and outside the party without any regret, and he willingly accepted economic uncertainty by setting aside his flourishing legal career.
