Pakistan, Bangladesh sign visa-free deal for officials

Diplomats and government officials can now travel without visas under a 5-year agreement.
ISLAMABAD/DHAKA (Web Desk) - Pakistan and Bangladesh have agreed to grant visa-free entry to each other’s diplomats and government officials.
Following the agreement, holders of diplomatic and official passports from Bangladesh will be able to travel to Pakistan without obtaining a visa, and the same privilege will be extended to Pakistani officials traveling to Bangladesh.
The deal was finalised after gaining policy and final approval from the Advisory Council Committee during a meeting held at the Chief Advisor’s Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

Bangladesh has entered into this agreement with Pakistan for a period of five years. Previously, Bangladesh had similar visa-free arrangements with 30 other countries. With Pakistan now added to the list, the total has risen to 31.
The Government of Pakistan has also officially approved the agreement, marking a positive step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
