Precious natural resources can play a key role to address the economic woes: Shehbaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi on Thursday called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad and invited him to inaugurate the Jhal Magsi Gas Field.
The prime minister accepted the invitation of minister.
Khalid Hussain Magsi briefed the prime minister that integrating the Jhal Magsi Gas Field into the national gas supply will reduce reliance on imported gas and result in annual savings of $298 million.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that precious natural resources present in Pakistan can play a pivotal role to address the economic woes of the country.
The prime minister commended the saving of foreign exchange reserves by reducing the dependence on imported gas due to the domestic reserves.
He termed the inclusion of Jhal Magsi Gas Field in the national gas supply as a vital step.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that China has always supported Pakistan’s development and protection.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.
Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and senior cabinet members were also present in the meeting.
Speaking with the visiting Chinese minister, Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan would continue to strengthen its strategic partnership with China.
