A devastating cloudburst struck Dalori Bala village a few days ago, destroying 17 houses
SWABI (Dunya News) - At least 42 people have lost their lives in Swabi district due to heavy rains and cloudbursts, while dozens of villages in Tank remain cut off after flash floods.
According to Deputy Commissioner Swabi, Nasrullah, a devastating cloudburst struck Dalori Bala village a few days ago, destroying 17 houses. Forty people were trapped under the debris; rescue teams have since recovered 37 bodies and pulled out three injured survivors.
The DC further said that four people were killed in Sarkoi Payan due to another cloudburst, while a young man swept away in Colonel Sher stream was recovered yesterday. Overall, rains and cloudbursts have left 42 people dead, 27 houses damaged, and one more completely destroyed in Sarkoi. Rehabilitation efforts are underway in Dalori Bala.

Meanwhile, in Tank, flash floods have washed away roads and bridges, cutting off dozens of villages. A woman has died, several others injured, and many houses have collapsed. Rescue 1122 and locals are engaged in relief efforts, while women and patients face severe difficulties due to the lack of road access.
