Attackers attempted to disable thermal camera technology
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Police successfully foiled attacks by militants on Mazanagah and Shaikh Landak checkpoints through a strong retaliatory response in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shaikh Landak post was targeted with a drone, while the Mazanagah checkpoint came under attack with modern weaponry. The attackers attempted to disable thermal camera technology, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
He stated that the professionalism of the police personnel forced the terrorists to flee, and all buildings, officers, and installations remained completely safe. He added, "These cowardly attacks cannot shake our resolve."

Zulfiqar Hameed further said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is alert and prepared on all fronts and remains on the frontline in the fight against terrorism. He vowed that all future attacks would be met with courage and full force.
The IG added that every possible step will be taken to ensure public safety, and that a search and strike operation is currently underway in the area.
