Says war serves no purpose for both countries
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said war is neither in the interest of Pakistan nor Afghanistan.
Speaking to a TV channel, the JUI-F emir said a war threat existed or not between the two countries, all political parties should be taken onboard on the issue, emphasising that a comprehensive strategy was required with regard to Pakistan-Afghanistan matters.
“Nawaz Sharif is a senior politician. His role in current situation is important, and he must come forward to play his role. My one-week visit to Afghanistan brought positive results,” the veteran politician said.
To a question, the JUI-F chief said his party will call its general council meeting to get permission for future political policy.
