Says PTI is moving towards its downfall with fissure in the party
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has berated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accusing the party of hypocrisy and disloyalty.
Referring to recent events at a PTI rally in Swabi, Bokhari stated, “tThose who claim to fight against 'American slavery' are now waving the American flag as if seeking freedom through it.”
Information minister argued that PTI’s leader and his followers consider taking U-turns a sign of bravery, while the display of the U.S. flag at the Swabi rally was a show of allegiance to what she called their ‘American masters’.
She insisted that the public gathering was a failure and resulted in clashes among PTI members, particularly between Ali Amin Gandapur and other party leaders.
The Punjab minister stated that the PTI was divided, with each faction pursuing its own agenda. Bokhari commented that PTI was heading towards its "inevitable downfall.
She said that no one in the PTI was willing to accept Gandapur as chief minister or take his orders seriously.
She noted the lack of leadership and direction in the party following the absence of former ‘facilitators and coach’.
Azma Bokhari stated that those who previously refused to accept defeat were now requesting NRO daily as infighting continues within the party.
