Over 377 cases have been disposed of in a week
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The policy of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi to reduce the number of cases pending in the superior court starts yielding results as over 377 cases have been disposed of in a week.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has released a detail about filing and disposing of cases in a week.
According to the data released by the Supreme Court, 302 cases were filed in a week and 679 cases were heard.
Similarly, more than 377 cases were disposed of in a week. On November 5, 38 cases were filed and 220 cases were disposed of.
More than 182 cases were disposed of from the cases filed on November 5 alone, the data revealed.
It is noted that the number of pending cases in the supreme court has now been reduced to 59,435, while the number of pending cases is 59,782.
